Craziness and an opportunity

We are still in the paper process for our adoption and life just keeps getting crazier!  Things are moving much slower than I had hoped but we are making progress.  God's timing is perfect...all the time!

In the middle of it all, Hannah and I have the opportunity to go to Ethiopia in March.   I have been praying since my trip in February that God would allow me go back, I just didn't think it would be so soon!   Again, God's timing is perfect...all the time!

Hannah and I are both very excited about this opportunity and Ben says "go" so we are going to jump in with both feet...let the fun-draising begin!

A very generous donor has donated a brand NEW pair of classic Uggs to help us get a jump start on our fundraising and hopefully help us raise enough to cover the cost of our plane tickets so we can get those purchased ASAP.

Starting TODAY,  December 2 until Friday December 16 we will be taking donations toward the cost of our trip.  Each $10 donation will get your name on one ticket and a $25 donation will get your name on three tickets.  On Saturday December 17 Hannah will pick one ticket from a basket and we will be "gifting" that person with a NEW pair of Classic Uggs (short or tall)  in your choice of size and color (Chestnut, Chocolate, or Black).  You can make your donation via the "donate" button on the side of the blog or contact me for other options.

These would make an awesome Christmas present for someone!  Feel free to share on your facebook or blog and tell your friends!

Many Blessings,
Marcy

The Moser 4 will soon become a party of 5...or maybe even 6!

Ben and I have some very special news to share with you!  We are excited to announce that we are expecting another child!  That's right, the Moser 4 will soon become a party of 5...or maybe even 6!  We have decided to do things a bit differently this time around. This child, created by God, was conceived in our hearts not with our bodies but will be no less "ours" because of this.  This child, chosen by God for our family, will become ours through the miracle of adoption!  The Lord has been leading us in this direction for a long time.  We believe this has always been His plan for our family, He has simply been waiting for us to say "yes".

For some of you, this is no surprise.  You know our hearts and our desire to glorify the Lord and grow our family in this way.  For others, this may come as a shock.  I know there will be many questions asked and that's ok.  We want you to know that we are trusting the Lord in this decision and we are open to whatever He has for us. We currently don't know what his plan looks like but we are confidant that we are moving in the right direction.

We would appreciate your prayers and support as we step out in faith and beging this journey to grow our family.

Out of the boat

I took you from the ends of the earth,
from it's farthest corners I called you.
I said, 'You are my servant';
I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
-Isaiah 41:9-10

Today, I am clinging to this promise as I step out of the boat, in faith, and into the unknown.

The call

I have been wrestling with God's plans for months now.  He has opened my eyes and my heart to things I have never before considered and it's made me uncomfortable.  I know He is asking me to step out in faith  and trust in Him no matter what.  If I'm honest, that's a hard thing and I find myself arguing with Him almost everyday.  Really God, you want me?  Surely there is someone else who is better equipped and more deserving for you to call on.  In my heart I hear Him whisper; there is...but I choose you.

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your love O Lord, endures forever- do not abandon the works of your hands.  -Psalms 138:8

Love is calling us

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.  And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.  If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?  Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.  1 John 3:16-18
